Ravens Week 5
First off the Ravens come into the game 3-1 boasting the top defense in the league. This defense is only allowing 247 yards a game and they have only given up 4 touchdowns in 4 games. Then you take the Broncos whose passing game you can say at the least has been dynamic. Kyle Orton is having a career year so far with 1419 yards through the air and 6 scores. However they do not have much of a running game which makes them one dimensional and against a defense as good as the Ravens that will be their downfall. I fulling expect for Orton to spend half of the game on his back due to all the blitzes that will be thrown at him. This will force him to make quick decisions and hopefully a few bad ones. Ravens win 24-10. For more information check out ESPN.COM preview.
Steelers go down in flames in last 30 seconds
This was a very well played game on by both teams, but as a Ravens fan it was a bit close for comfort consider I thought we would win by 10 not 3. I am happy as can be about the win and I am certainly glad to see Houshmandzadeh and Boldin doing so well against such a tough team as the Steelers. Flacco had another good game that was capped off by the gaming winning touchdown pass to T.J. in the last minute of the game. Mostly I would like to tip my hat to the defense for their stand that kept the Steelers penned against their own goal-line forcing them to give the Ravens the short field. I could not think of a better ending to a game, finished off by Ray Lewis making the interception (the first of the year for the Ravens).
Houshmandzadeh Shows Up!
Well I think that T.J. saw what I posted about him a couple of weeks ago and decided that he would shut me up...for a little while. He had a pretty good game that turned into a very good game with his touchdown reception in the last 30 seconds of the game. In fact he caught the final 2 passes, the first for 10 yards that set up the 18 yard strike for the score that gave them the lead. After a win like that I am beginning to believe more and more that this team can be great because they are all starting to come together and build up the chemistry that is needed to contend and dare I say WIN the Super Bowl.
Its Steelers Week
The Ravens are going to win this one I know it. I mean that Steeler defense is as good as the Ravens yes but the offenses are worlds apart (especially without Big Ben playing). Flacco is not playing his best right now but he is playing better than Charlie Batch and he the Ravens receivers are far away better than the good but not great receivers that the Steeler have. Rashard Mendenhall however is a very good running back probably as good as Ray Rice is. There will be the key to the Ravens winning this one I think they will need to take Mendenhall out of the game and then the Steelers have no chance except for their defense scoring all their point which is possible but unlikely. I look for the Ravens to pull this one out with tough defense and 21 points from the offense chalk it up the Ravens take home the win.
